What is ‘Ragging’ !
Ragging means causing, inducing, compelling or forcing a student whether by way of a practical joke or otherwise to do any act which detract from human dignity or violates his person or exposes him to ridicule or to forbear from doing any lawful act by intimidating, wrongfully restraining, wrongfully containing or injuring him or by using criminal force to him or by holding out to him any threat of such intimidation, wrongful restraint, wrongful confinement, injury or the use of criminal force.
Hon’ble Supreme Court of India has defined ragging as a criminal offence.
No person who is a student in an educational institution, including an institution under the management of the university or the central government shall commit or abet ragging.
Any person who indulges in or abets ragging shall on conviction be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year. Ragging is a criminal and non-bailable offence.
Application Form
The candidate seeking admissions are required to send their application on the prescribed form enclosed in the last page of Prospectus.
Instruction for filling up the Application Form
Application form should be filled in English only. Both sides of the Application form are to be filled. Incomplete Application Forms will be rejected.
The candidate has to fill up the application form in his/her own handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS, written neatly and legibly, with black / blue ball point pen.
Overwriting, cuttings and erasing in the application forms may lead to rejection of the application form. Any error arising on this account shall be the responsibility of the candidate.
The College reserves the right to reject the application filled in wrongly and reject applications received from ineligible candidates.
The last date for receiving completely filled in Application Form at the College Office is 31st May, of the respective year. No grace time will be permitted and College will not be responsible for the postal delays.
